Citations
Any parking citations issued by the U of A should be paid for promptly through MyParkingAccount. Members of campus can log in with their UARK login information. Visitors can provide their citation information to locate and pay a citation.
Bike Impounds
If your bicycle was impounded, you can find out why in the Parking and Traffic Regulations Sec. 3. You have 60 days from when it is impounded to claim your bicycle.
If your bicycle is impounded, please contact the Office for Sustainability at (479) 575-3715 or sustain@uark.edu for retrieval.
Boots
Boots are placed on a tire of a vehicle with multiple unpaid citations. An extra fee of $100 will be charged in the event of an unauthorized removal or attempted removal of a boot.
Follow these steps to get your boot removed:
- Pay all outstanding citations online.
- A Parking Enforcement Supervisor will then come to the vehicle and remove the boot.
If you find a boot on your vehicle, do not try to drive before proper removal. It will cause damage.
Tows
Individuals with numerous parking violations or unpaid citations or are subject to being towed as outlined in the Transit, Parking and Traffic Regulations.
Follow these steps to get your vehicle released:
- Pay all outstanding citations online.
- Meet a Parking Enforcement Supervisor at the impound lot west of Lot 220. Call 479-575-7275 if they are not there when you arrive.
Appeal Process
- Read Section 1.7 of the Parking and Traffic Regulations.
- Complete a written appeal form available at the Transit and Parking Department or online and attach a copy of the citation to the form.
- Deliver the completed form within 90 calendar days of the date of the citation to the Transit and Parking Department and pay the $10 appeals fee.
Work It Off Program
The Transit and Parking Department partners with the Associated Student Government and the Volunteer Action Center on campus to offer the "Work It Off" program for students.
Once per academic year, any student can receive up to $75 off a citation after completing three hours of community service. The ASG has more information on how to complete the process.
