The University Transit System can provide bus service for most university activities. Buses, with seating for 36 passengers, are available for field trips and other activities upon request. Charter bus trips will be driven by University Transit drivers only and driver costs are a part of the service charge.

To request charter bus service, you or your representative should contact the Transit and Parking Department at 479-575-7913, 479-575-7615 or FAX 479-575-7128. Charter service requests need to be submitted at least five working days before the bus service is required. A memorandum confirming the trip date and time, destination, number of buses needed and your university cost center number is required. Charter bus service is restricted to 150 miles from the Fayetteville campus.

The hourly charge to the requesting university account will be $55 per hour per bus between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and $65 per hour per bus at other times including unviersity holidays. There is a two hour minimum service charge per charter trip. Charges will accrue from the time the buses arrive for loading until they are released by the user. Charges for waiting time during the trip will accrue at the appropriate hourly rate. Payments may be made either by cost center account transfer or by check. Cancellations of service request must be received 24 hours in advance of the scheduled trip, to avoid the minimum service charge.

When you schedule university transit charter bus service, you will receive prompt, courteous and safe service from trained, licensed drivers and clean well maintained buses. Please call 479-575-7913 or 479-575-7615 for further information and trip coordination.
