The following changes to the Campus Parking and Traffic Regulations became effective July 1, 2008.
1. The expiration date of all annual parking permits has been changed to August 15. 2008 annual permits will expire August 15, 2008.
2. All parking violation charges increase $10 after the third citation for the same offense in a fiscal year.
3. ADA (handicap) permit holders must now pay parking meters when parking in metered spaces. Parking meters were installed to provide short-term parking for visitors and people who had business is a building. Allowing ADA permit holders to park at the meters without paying has caused the meters to be occupied for the entire day and not available to visitors and short-term parkers.
4. Lot 15A, east of Phoenix House on Arkansas Avenue, has been changed to Resident Reserved.
5. The north row of parking in lot 15, on Arkansas Avenue between the Phoenix House and FarmHouse Fraternity, has been changed to Faculty/Staff.
The following parking lot designation changes will become effective August 1, 2008.
1. In lot 71, on Dickson Street west of the Dickson Street Annex, about 30 Faculty/Staff parking spaces will be changed to Reserved.
2. In lot 16, on Dickson Street east of the Dickson Street Annex, about 40 Student spaces will be changed to Faculty/Staff.
