Questions About Resident Reserved Parking?

Students living on campus may sign up on the Resident Reserved Parking List using MyChecklist located on the University Housing Web site, http://housing.uark.edu/, until July 31, 2009, 4:00 p.m. Please understand the demand for Resident Reserved parking spaces is high and signing up on the Resident Reserved parking list does not guarantee you will be offered Resident Reserved Parking for the 2009-2010 academic year.

University Housing will send the list to Transit and Parking on August 4, 2009. When you are eligible to purchase a Resident Reserved Permit you will be notified by Transit and Parking via your University of Arkansas e-mail account. Resident Reserved permits are offered first to returning students and then based on remaining availability to new students. Parking permits are offered based first on the parking zone a student lives in, then on the number of points they have for living on campus and finally by the date they sign up on the list.

Because parking enforcement is ongoing throughout the year, it will be necessary for vehicles to have a current parking permit to avoid receiving parking citations during the time Resident Reserved parking assignments are being made. The purchase cost of a current student parking permit will be deducted from the purchase price of the Resident Reserved parking permit when an approved applicant picks up his/her Resident Reserved parking permit.

Please do not contact University Housing or the Transit and Parking Department about your status on the Resident Reserved priority list. You will be contacted via email when you are eligible to purchase a Resident Reserved permit.

If you have questions about the location, enforcement or maintenance of Resident Reserved parking lots or where and when you may pick up your parking permit once it has been assigned, you should contact the Transit and Parking Department at 575-PARK or email parking@uark.edu.
