Parking Permits

Permit Types and Eligibility:

Student - Currently enrolled students. This permit allows parking in student and remote lots.

Remote- All students, faculty, and staff are eligible.

Resident Reserved Currently enrolled students living in University of Arkansas housing facilities based upon date of housing contract and space availability. Also allows parking in student and remote parking areas throughout the year.

Garage - Student Garage Permits allow parking in the designated garage as well as student and remote parking areas and lots. Issuance of this permit is based on the date of application. Be advised that your application gets your name added to a waiting list and does not ensure you a garage permit.

Faculty/Staff Garage Permits are issued based on date of application. This permit will also allow parking in faculty/staff, student, and remote designated parking areas and lots. Be advised that your application gets your name added to a waiting list and does not ensure you a garage permit.

Faculty/Staff - Full-time University of Arkansas faculty and staff members and part-time University of Arkansas employees who work at least 1,000 hours annually and are not enrolled in more than five class hours each semester.

Reserved (Blue) - Issued for a specific lot and sold to individuals by application only, to be renewed annually. Be advised that your application gets your name added to a waiting list and does not ensure you a reserved permit.

ADA (Accessible) - Annual ADA parking permits will be issued at the normal fee to any student or employee who has a state ADA parking placard or license plate issued in their name. Temporary ADA parking permits will be issued for the same length of time as the state temporary placard or for a maximum of 7 days based on an appropriate and licensed physician’s statement recommending a temporary ADA permit.

Vendor/Visitor Annual - For use by vendors who serve the university in a business capacity.

Visitor Temporary  - Temporary Visitor parking permits allow parking in the following University of Arkansas parking lots: Faculty/Staff (yellow signs), Student (green signs), Remote (orange signs) and parking meters (gray meters only).

Motorcycle - Parking for motorcycles only (50cc and over engine displacement). Motorcycles may also park in unoccupied parking meter spaces by paying the meter fee. Motorcycles may not be parked in Faculty/Staff, Student or Remote parking spaces or in the Harmon Avenue Garage. Reserved permit holders who wish to park their motorcycle in a reserved lot instead of their primary vehicle must first purchase an approved permit display device in order to properly display the Reserved permit on the motorcycle. Faculty/Staff permit holders may purchase an approved permit display device to display their Faculty/Staff permit on their motorcycle and park it in motorcycle parking. This eliminates the need to purchase an additional motorcycle permit.

Scooter - Students and Faculty/Staff. Two-wheeled motorized vehicles under 50 cc. Valid in designated scooter parking areas only. To purchase a scooter permit, please fill out the vehicle registration form and bring to the parking office on Razorback Road or in the Harmon Avenue Parking Garage.

Bicycle - Students and Faculty/Staff. All approved bicycle parking areas on campus. Bike locks may be purchased for $20 at the Parking Office in the Administrative Services Building on Razorback Road. Unsecured bicycles may be impounded.
